I couldn't help appreciate the effectiveness with which this player uses the club to brutually eliminate the targets in the Hitman Blood Money series. Watch the video! Worth the 7+ minutes.

Today, I was reading an interview of Jesper Kyd on www.hitmanforum.com He's the guy who has composed music for the entire Hitman series. Born in Denmark, Jesper started to play the piano at a very young age. At the age of 14, Jesper got a Commodore 64 (a personal computer released in 1982). At that time, the Commodore was the best selling single computer model of all time. Incidentally, it costed $595 at that time to buy one of them. Lucky Jesper :-) The Commodore lasted till 1994 and during this 12 year period, sold 17 million units.

Anyways, the Commodore pretty much kick started Jesper's music composition. He started to compose music for different demogroups on the Commodore 64. Demogroups are teams of demosceners, who make computer-based audio-visual works of art known as demos. Demogroups form a subculture collectively known as the demoscene.

Jesper teamed up with his friend, Mikael Balle became a member of the group Silents DK, and eventually started collaborating with a group of coders known as crionics. They eventually made the legendary amiga demoscene production "Hardwired".

At this point Jesper Kyd decided to quit the demo scene and focus on a professional carer as a game musician. He and his friends who had collaborated on the "Hardwired" demo created the computer game development team "Zyrinx" and started working on a game called Subterrania for the SEGA Genesis. The game had a succes full development and the music of the game got very good reviews and many stating it was "The best ever" for this particular system.

Since the game was a commercial succes Jesper Kyd and the rest of the team relocated to Boston,USA. Jesper Kyd composed music for 3 more titles before their game publisher the now defunct Scavenger went bankruped, which caused the "Zyrinx" team to dissolve as well

In spite of his friends going back to Denmark to start IO Interactive, Jesper Kyd decided to move to New York City and set up his own sound studio in Manhattan called "Nano studios". Jesper eventually made it big when his music for the Hitman series became a big hit.

Today, in honor for some awesome music that he's composed for the Hitman series, I bought the entire Hitman Silent Assassin Album from iTunes for $9.99. As I write this piece of blog, I am listening to the theme song....

Folks,

For those of you who thought Hitman gets killed and buried in the Blood Money series, here's the surprise. And for those of you who haven't gone that far yet, DONT WATCH THIS VIDEO :-))

Hitman Season Begins! Posted by Picasa

Crossed Stage 2 as well!!

Folks, the Hitman Blood Money fever is on! After some intense gun-battle and severe backache, I've been able to clear Stage 2. Managed to kill Fernando Delgado in a bloody battle, which involved killing 21 other people. Now, apparently, the local police suspect involvement of "Blood Money" in all these killings. Which in other words means that I haven't done a smooth job of eliminating the drug dealer and his son.

Frankly guys, I think I did a lot smoother job than I thought I would. After several hours of toiling, I think I am going to give the game a break for tonight and take it up again tomorrow night. Can't wait!

Hitman Blood Money!!

Folks, today IO Interactive's latest game from the Hitman series, titled "Hitman: Blood Money" hit the stores across the US (www.hitmanbloodmoney.com). I was a big fan of the earlier games from this series and went to great lengths to crack the earlier 3 games. The first one was called "Codename 47", the second one was called "Silent Assassin" and the third one was called "Hitman Contracts".

So, today, I took time off from work to rush to the nearest Bestbuy store to pick up the latest title "Blood Money". I was so eager to get home and try the game out. Here are my first thoughts about the game -

a) For the first time, I am trying out a Hitman game on my PS2. I played the earlier ones on my Dell laptop with a keyboard and a mouse. Loading a DVD version of the game on my PS2 and playing it on my 27 inches flat screen color TV with a PS2 controller was a different experience all together. I could sit back on my couch, use the L1, L2, L3, R1, R2 & R3 buttons with great effect and I thought I played extremely well the first one hour of the game itself.

b) The soundtrack at the start of the game is not really that impressive. Its kinda tame and not adrenaline pumping at all. There are sections of the game where the music gets you sitting at the edge of your couch but overall, I still rate the sound effect 3 on 10.

c) The graphics are awesome. The level of detail that IO Interactive goes to is breath-taking. While Hitman Contracts was disappointing, Blood Money brings back my faith on IO Interactive with a bang.

d) I managed to crack Stage 1 "Joseph Clarence" without missing a beat. I played exceptionally well and it took me less than an hour to get to the "office of Joseph" and take him out with a single gun shot :-)

I don't know if I have time to play Stage 2 "Hideout" today, but I am excited as hell :-)) Wish me luck, folks!
